DOMA

DOMA ABC is is an exploration of artistic practice initiated by the group in 2020.
It is an umbrella project that holds together an assembly of different projects using the alphabet as a constructive framework, but breaking its linear order. Each letter in the alphabet is the starting point of a new artistic exploration where the meaning of each letter - unfolded into a word - becomes more significant than its position in the alphabet. The words are chosen collectively by the trio and function as both influential and prerequisite resources, but also as means to frame or allow space for each individual letter/project.
In philosophy, language is often conceived as a representation of reality, and many argue that language frames how we perceive the world. With this assertion as foundation, DOMA is curious to search for connections between language, artistic practice and reality. By selectively picking words for each letter in the alphabet and intertwining these words with their artistic practice, the trio is slowly building a Lexicon of DOMA, allowing the chosen words to represent notions of reality that go beyond the words themselves - and that from now and onwards, in reciprocal, also are representing extensions and meanings of DOMA.
